Highways programme approved

£40 million worth of highways schemes have been given the go ahead by Hertfordshire County Council.

During 2018/19 nearly £40 million will be spent delivering over 1,000 maintenance and improvement schemes across Hertfordshire’s 3,000 miles of road. 

Council supports fly tipping campaign

St Albans City and District Council is supporting a County wide campaign aimed at helping to reduce the number of fly tipping incidents across Hertfordshire.

The SCRAP campaign asks people to help prevent fly tipping by taking steps to ensure that their waste is disposed of correctly.

Action needed on verge damage

Verge damage caused by building works is a frequent issue raised by residents across the District.

Conservatives taking action on road safety

Local Conservatives applied through the Police and Crime Commissioner's office for a traffic Speed Indicator Device (SID) on London Road, St Albans. This has recently been installed and is already having a positive effect in slowing traffic down on this busy road.
