Graham Leonard - Conservative County candidate for the St Albans South division for the Elections on 1st May 2025. This division covers the Sopwell and Verulam wards.
Graham Leonard has been a passionate Parish councillor, truly enjoying his involvement in our local community. He has made a huge difference as part of the Sports and Recreation Committee, taking care of important assets like sports grounds and children’s play areas. He also serves on the Planning Committee and has lent a hand in various working groups, tackling tasks like ragwort removal, hedge laying at Woodland Park, and pond clearing in Damson Way.
Graham is running as a County Candidate because he wants to make sure you have access to essential services from a well-managed and efficient Conservative Council. His priorities are safe and clean streets, excellent schools and libraries, care for the young, elderly, and vulnerable, and building a community we can all be proud of.
Children in St Albans are facing the risk of losing places in outstanding schools due to an increase in students from private schools caused by Labour’s tax policies, along with the long-term effects of proposed housing developments. On top of that, the rise in car park and on-street parking charges in St Albans is unfairly affecting those who rely on driving for shopping or appointments, which also threatens our local businesses.
Graham will be an involved and approachable Councillor who listens to your concerns and focuses on what matters to you. He’ll work hard to address the key issues and do his best to make our city an even better place to live.
