St Albans Conservative Association has encouraged people in in St Albans to join them in showing their support for in St Albans by shopping locally for High Street Saturday on 16 March.

Yesterday Anne Main hosted a plastics event on the Terrace of the Palace of Westminster. CEO of Coalition for Global Prosperity, Theo Clarke, Anne Main MP, David Attenborough and the Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt MP were key speakers at this standing room only event.

Yesterday in Parliament Anne Main MP made another impassioned speech on the topic of funding for schools. After an online petition on school funding reached over 100,000 signatures, a debate was held yesterday for MPs to speak on behalf of their constituents about this particular issue.

New figures show that the number of people in work is at a record high and wages are growing at their fastest rate in over a decade.

Yesterday in Parliament, Anne Main MP held a meeting with Aviation Minister, Baroness Sugg and several of her constituents about Luton airport noise. Anne was also joined at the meeting by Bim Afolami MP and some of his constituents from Hitchin and Harpenden.

Today in Parliament, St Albans MP Anne Main presented her application to hold a debate in
the House of Commons on school funding. Mrs Main previously held a debate in the smaller
Westminster Hall chamber on this issue and today made the case for it to be debated on the

Five proposed designs for a new children’s play area at Verulamium Park in St Albans are to go on public display to gain valuable feedback.

Funding for the project has been secured by St Albans City and District Council, the park’s owners, and the community group Verulamium at Play.

The effective and efficient Conservative led Council has a delivered another state of the art facility for St Albans. 

By 2031 there will be 175,000 more people living in Hertfordshire using the transport system, not to mention the growing populations outside the county travelling to and through the county.
